Getting started

What DoReMiWave is and how to make your first video.

What is DoReMiWave?

DoReMiWave turns a song into a music video whose visuals react to the sound: spectrum bars, waves, discs and particles that move with the bass, the beat and the melody. You pick a style, add your cover, logo, background and text, preview it in your browser and export an MP4 ready for YouTube, TikTok or Instagram.

How do I make my first video?
  1. Open the Studio and create a free account (or try the live demo first).
  2. Confirm your email address — exporting needs a confirmed address.
  3. Upload your song, then choose a style.
  4. Add a cover, logo, background or text if you like, and adjust the settings while the preview plays.
  5. Press Export video, pick the format and wait for the render. We email you when it is ready.
Is it free?

Yes. The free plan (Do) gives you 5 exports a month at 720p 30 fps, with a small DoReMiWave watermark that is on by default and can be switched off when you export. Paid plans add higher quality, more styles and more exports. See Pricing.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. The live demo on the home page lets you play with the styles on a sample song. To upload your own music and export, you need a free account.

Which browsers and devices work?

Any recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a computer. The Studio works on tablets and phones, but editing is much more comfortable on a larger screen. Videos are rendered on our servers, so you do not need a powerful computer.

Studio and styles

Uploading files, styles, settings and projects.

Which audio files can I upload?

MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A (AAC and OGG usually work too). Maximum song length and file size depend on your plan:

  • Do: up to 3 minutes, 20 MB per file
  • Sol: up to 4 minutes, 200 MB per file
  • Clef: up to 5 minutes, 500 MB per file

Upload only music you own or have permission to use — see Rights and ownership.

Which images and videos can I use for cover, logo and background?

Covers, logos and background images: JPG, PNG or WebP. Your own logo and background image need Sol or Clef. Video backgrounds (MP4, WebM or MOV) are available on Clef.

Which styles are included in each plan?
  • Do: Rainbow Circular, Neon Flow, Classic Bars
  • Sol: everything in Do, plus Bars Cover Disc, Digital Disco, Wave Disc Cover, Wave Dots, Solar Spectrum
  • Clef: everything in Sol, plus Water Ring
Why does the preview look softer than my export?

The preview is compressed so it plays smoothly in your browser while you change settings. Your export is rendered separately on our servers at full quality, so it is sharper than what you see in the preview.

Can the colours match my cover?

Yes. After you upload a cover, you can apply its colours to the spectrum and to the background with one click. You can still adjust every colour afterwards.

What does “Surprise me” do?

It picks a random combination of settings for the current style, within what your plan allows. If you do not like it, press it again or undo it.

Can I undo a change?

Yes: Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y to redo (Cmd instead of Ctrl on a Mac).

Are my projects saved? How many can I have?

Your projects and templates are saved in your account, so you can come back to them later. You can keep 3 projects on Do, 25 on Sol and an unlimited number on Clef (the same applies to templates). Uploaded files count towards your storage: 100 MB on Do, 1 GB on Sol and 2.5 GB on Clef.

Why is a setting or style locked?

Some styles and settings belong to a higher plan. A lock shows which plan includes them; selecting a locked style tells you which plan you need. Everything you already set up stays in your project when you upgrade.

Exporting videos

Formats, quality, waiting times and downloads.

Which resolutions and formats can I export?

Videos are MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio), ready for every major platform.

  • Do: 720p at 30 fps, landscape (16:9), watermark on by default (you can switch it off)
  • Sol: 720p or 1080p at 30 or 60 fps, landscape or portrait (9:16, for TikTok, Reels and Shorts)
  • Clef: up to 1440p at 24, 30 or 60 fps, landscape, portrait or square (1:1)
How long does an export take?

Usually a few minutes, depending on the song length, resolution, frame rate and style, and on how busy the servers are. You can close the page: the render continues and we email you when it is ready. Clef exports go first in the queue. You can run 1 export at a time on Do, 2 on Sol and 4 on Clef.

How many exports do I get, and when do they reset?

5 a month on Do, 20 on Sol and 50 on Clef. The counter resets on the 1st of every month at 00:00 UTC; unused exports do not carry over. Upgrading starts a fresh monthly allowance on your new plan (once per plan per month), so you can upgrade even after using up your current one. Downgrading keeps the count you already used. If you need more, buy an export pack (see below) or upgrade.

What are export packs?

One-time purchases of extra exports. They are used only after your monthly exports run out, are valid for 60 days and are fully refundable within 14 days. Buy them from your account page.

My export failed. Did I lose an export?

No. A failed export is never counted. Try again; if it keeps failing, write to support@doremiwave.com with the time of the export and the style you used.

Where do I download my video, and for how long?

From the link in the “video is ready” email or from Your videos on your account page. Videos stay available for 3 days on Do, 15 days on Sol and 30 days on Clef, then they are deleted automatically. Download them and keep a copy — we are not an archive.

How do I remove the watermark?

On Do, switch Watermark off in the export window before you start the export; your choice is remembered for next time. Videos exported on Sol or Clef never have a watermark. A video already exported with the watermark keeps it: export it again with the watermark off. Removing or hiding it from an exported video in any other way is not allowed.

The visuals seem out of sync with the music.

Exported videos are synchronised frame by frame. If only the browser preview looks out of sync, that comes from your device's audio delay (common with Bluetooth headphones); the export is not affected. If an exported video is out of sync, write to us and tell us the file and the style.

Plans and billing

Payments, invoices, upgrades, cancellation and refunds.

Who processes my payment? Why does my statement say Paddle?

Our orders are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, taxes (such as VAT) and receipts, so your card statement shows PADDLE.NET or similar. We never see your card details.

Do the prices include VAT?

Yes, in the European Union and the United Kingdom: the price on the website is the price you pay. In some other countries (for example certain US states) sales tax may be added at checkout, and you always see the final amount before you pay.

Which payment methods can I use?

Cards and the other methods Paddle offers in your country (for example PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay); the available options are shown at checkout.

How do I get an invoice with my company details or VAT number?

Paddle emails a receipt after every payment. You can add your company details or VAT number at checkout, or later from the link in the receipt or at paddle.net, and download an invoice there.

How do I upgrade or downgrade?

From the Plan section of your account page. An upgrade applies immediately and you pay only the proportional difference for the rest of the period. A downgrade also applies immediately, and the difference is credited on your next bill.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your account page, press Manage subscription, or use the link in your Paddle receipt. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again. Your projects stay in your account.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: a full refund of any payment within 14 days, for any reason. Write to support@doremiwave.com or use the link in your Paddle receipt. Details in our Refund Policy.

My renewal payment failed. What happens?

Paddle tries again over the following days and emails you so you can update your payment method. If the payment still cannot be collected, your account returns to the free plan; your projects are kept.

I was charged twice or don’t recognise a charge.

Write to support@doremiwave.com with the date and amount, or look it up at paddle.net with your email address. Please contact us before asking your bank for a chargeback — a refund through us is faster.

Account and data

Login, email confirmation, your data and deleting your account.

I didn’t receive the confirmation email.

Check your spam or promotions folder for a message from DoReMiWave. You can ask for a new link from your account page. Links expire after a while for security, so always use the newest one.

Why do you ask for my date of birth?

Only to check that you are at least 16, the minimum age for an account, and to ask for a parent's or guardian's consent before a purchase if you are under 18. It is not shown to anyone and not used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy.

I forgot my password.

Press Log in, then Forgot password?, and enter your email. We send you a link to choose a new password.

Can I change my email address?

Write to support@doremiwave.com from your current address and tell us the new one; we will confirm the change with you.

How do I get a copy of my data?

On your account page, open Privacy & data and press Download (JSON). See our Privacy Policy for everything we process.

How do I delete my account?

On your account page, open Privacy & data, press Delete my account and confirm with your password. Any subscription is cancelled so you are not charged again, and your files, projects and videos are permanently deleted after 30 days. Download your videos first.

Is my account secure?

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, all traffic is encrypted and your files are visible only to you. Use a password you do not use anywhere else. We will never ask for your password by email or message.

Rights and ownership

Who owns the videos, commercial use and copyrighted music.

Do I own the videos I make?

Yes. The videos you export are yours, on every plan, including the free one. Our styles and effects stay ours, but you may use them as part of your videos forever. See our Terms of Service.

Can I use the videos commercially and monetise them?

Yes, on every plan: YouTube monetisation, promotion, client work and paid ads are all allowed. If you exported with the watermark on, it must stay in the video.

Can I use a song I don’t own?

Only with permission from the rights holders. Making a video with DoReMiWave does not give you any right to the music. Upload your own music, music you licensed, or music whose licence allows this use.

YouTube or another platform claimed my video.

Platforms detect copyrighted music (for example with Content ID) and may claim, block or demonetise a video. The claim is about the music, not about DoReMiWave. If the music is yours or licensed, dispute the claim on the platform. If you release through a distributor, it can usually whitelist your own channel.

Do you use my music to train AI?

No. Your files are used only to make your videos. We do not publish them, show them to anyone or use them to train artificial intelligence.

How do I report content that infringes my rights?

Email legal@doremiwave.com with the details listed in our Copyright, DMCA & Content Reports policy.
