Copyright, DMCA & Content Reports
To report content: email legal@doremiwave.com with the details listed below. We review every report, act quickly on valid ones, and tell the user concerned what we did and why.
1. How DoReMiWave works with content
DoReMiWave is a tool that turns audio uploaded by our users into music videos. Users must own or have permission to use everything they upload (see our Terms of Service). We respect the rights of creators — songwriters, producers, performers, labels, photographers and designers — under Romanian Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights, EU law and international copyright treaties.
Uploaded files and the videos we render are private to the account that created them: we do not publish them, show them to other users or distribute them. We do not review files before they are processed and do not use automated content recognition.
2. Videos published on other platforms
If you found an infringing video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify or another platform, please report it to that platform: only the platform can remove content published there. You may also notify us, and we will act on the account and files on our side as described below.
3. How to report infringing or illegal content
Send your report to legal@doremiwave.com, in English or Romanian. To let us act quickly and as required by the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, art. 16), please include:
- What the content is and why you believe it is illegal or infringes your rights — for copyright, identify the work (title, author, rights holder) and explain how it is being used.
- Where it is — any information that lets us find it: the email address of the DoReMiWave account, a link to the published video and its title, or a description precise enough to identify the files.
- Your name and email address (not required if you report child sexual abuse material).
- If you act for someone else (for example a label, publisher or agency), who you represent.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.
We confirm receipt of every report that includes an email address. Incomplete reports may delay our action; we may ask you for more information.
4. DMCA notices (United States)
If you are a copyright owner relying on the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), your notice must be sent to our designated agent and contain:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on its behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it;
- your contact information: address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Designated agent: Cucu Cosmin-Ionut, Sat Valcica, nr. 1, Comuna Tatarusi, Oras Pascani, Judet Iasi, 707500, Romania · legal@doremiwave.com
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
5. What we do with a report
- We review each report in a timely, diligent and objective manner. A person reviews it; we do not decide automatically.
- If the content is illegal or infringing, we remove it or disable access to it, and we may restrict features or suspend the account, in proportion to the seriousness of the case.
- We tell the reporter what we decided. We also send the user concerned a statement of reasons (art. 17 DSA): what we restricted, on what facts, the legal or contractual ground, and how to contest it — unless the law or an authority prevents us.
- If a report is unfounded, we take no action and tell the reporter why.
- We share the reporter’s name with the user only where necessary (for example in a DMCA counter-notice process) or with the reporter’s permission.
6. Counter-notices and complaints
If your content was removed or your account restricted and you believe this was a mistake, reply to the email you received or write to legal@doremiwave.com within 6 months. We review your complaint free of charge, with human involvement, and reverse our decision if it was wrong (art. 20 DSA). You may also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the DSA, or go to court.
DMCA counter-notice
For material removed after a DMCA notice, your counter-notice (17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3)) must contain:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material removed and where it was before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts for your address (or, outside the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original reporter. Unless the reporter tells us within 10 business days that it has filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days.
7. Repeat infringers and misuse
- We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
- After a prior warning, we suspend for a reasonable period users who frequently provide manifestly illegal content, and we stop processing reports from people who frequently send manifestly unfounded reports (art. 23 DSA).
8. Serious crimes and urgent cases
We report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities and remove it immediately. If we become aware of information suggesting a criminal offence involving a threat to someone’s life or safety, we inform the law enforcement or judicial authorities of the Member State concerned (art. 18 DSA). If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services (112 in the EU) first.
9. Point of contact
Our single point of contact for users and for the authorities of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (art. 11 and 12 DSA) is legal@doremiwave.com. Languages: English and Romanian.
